Vermont vacation, Burlington to Stowe

In Uncategorized on October 10, 2007 at 2:47 am

Today, Hayden and I toured the Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory, and got some free samples there. We took a boat ride across Lake Champlain and back, and had a picnic lunch of local Vermont foods while on the lake. And we drove the extremely-scenic route from Burlington to Stowe.

We got to see some hills with lots of yellow, orange in two shades, and green. I vote we make those the official colors for fall.

The Foxfire Inn is our resting place for the next few nights. They have a nice and popular Italian restaurant in the inn; we had chicken, and eggplant parmiagian (but ours was spelled right.) We spent an hour or two by their real wood fireplace, and even became a tourist attraction on our own.

Tomorrow we hope to go see Ben and Jerry, and do some hiking.

It's really nice to relax and do something completely different.
