Work from home != underemployed

I've known a few people whose primary office is in their house, like
mine is. And I don't understand it when they say statements like this:

"Working from home is great. If I decide the grass needs to be mowed,
I can just mow it." -- This statement was from a manager who works for
a large multi-national electronics company.

I just don't get it. How does he have spare time? Is he underemployed?
Or am I just messed up?

Doing right to get the blessingo

James 1:25 But if a person looks closely into the perfect Torah, which
gives freedom, and continues, becoming not a forgetful hearer but a
doer of the work it requires, then he will be blessed in what he does.

Matthew 6:20 Instead, store up for yourselves wealth in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust destroys, and burglars do not break in or steal.

Is it wrong to do good because we want to be blessed?
