Camping on Pilot Mountain

Squirmy boy in the lawn chair.

Eating a brown leaf, but his stomach protests.

Quiet time near campfire. She does her Bible Study homework.

Illegal firewood collection. (Is it an unjust law?)

Pancakes hard to flip in a stock pot. Extra butter helps flavor and flipping.

Neighbors needed matches, and appreciating that need.

Mt Airy leaf festival: lots of green, a little orange, and mountain music.

Yellow and green leaves near the tent. Tent's too big for the flat dirt pad.

Big rocks protrude from dirt, three feet across and a foot out of ground.

Surprising chill second morning. Lighter fluid makes for fast warmth. Camping coffee justifies the steel thermos. Dirt justifies brown shoes.
